Pine Rivers Community Finance (PRCF), operators of Community Bank Samford, has announced the recipients of its latest Community Grants Program, continuing its long-standing commitment to supporting local organisations that strengthen communities across the Moreton Bay region.
Since its establishment in 2002, PRCF has returned almost $3 million to the local community through grants, sponsorships and community investments, helping hundreds of organisations deliver projects that improve wellbeing, inclusion, safety, education, environmental sustainability and community connection.
This year’s grant recipients represent a diverse cross-section of community groups, charities, sporting organisations and volunteer-led initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of local residents.
PRCF Chair Malcolm Frizzell said the grants reflected the organisation’s ongoing commitment to investing in projects that create lasting community benefit. “One of the founding principles of the Community Bank model is that banking can be a force for positive change in local communities,” Mr Frizzell said.
“Every grant awarded through Pine Rivers Community Finance represents an investment in the people, organisations and volunteers who work tirelessly to make the Moreton Bay region a better place to live.”
“We are proud that, through the support of our customers and shareholders, we will reinvest more than $250,000 into the community through this grant round. These grants help build stronger, more connected and more resilient communities while supporting initiatives that may otherwise struggle to secure funding.”
Community Bank Samford Senior Manager Mandy Bell said the breadth of projects supported demonstrated the significant impact local banking could have when profits are reinvested locally.
“These grants show what can be achieved when local people choose to bank locally,” Ms Bell said. “The organisations receiving funding this year are addressing important community needs. We feel privileged to contribute to programs that support families experiencing domestic violence and financial strain, and help community groups purchase equipment, deliver educational programs, and create opportunities for people to connect.”

2026 Community Grant Recipients
- Centre Against Domestic Abuse (CADA) – Funding to establish a Safety Resource Hub, improving access to safety equipment and essential support for families experiencing domestic and family violence.
- Cystic Fibrosis Queensland – Support for the Caring for our Carers Mental Health First Aid Program.
- Eat Up Australia – Expansion of its program providing lunches to hungry children at 13 schools across the Samford and Pine Rivers area.
- Guide Dogs Queensland – Support for the Orientation and Mobility Advanced Adult Residential Program.
- Lions Club of Dayboro – Purchase of a movie screen for community movie nights in Dayboro.
- Mount Glorious Community Association Inc – Funding for the Art with Altitude 2026 event
- Mount Nebo Rural Fire Brigade – Installation of roller door motors to improve brigade operations and emergency response capability.
- North Pine Bush Poets Group Inc – Support for the Verse for Vinnies initiative.
- Northside Beekeepers Association Inc – Purchase of operational equipment including a public address system, bee suits and a flow super lifter.
- Pine Rivers A H & I Association – Funding to support the Pine Rivers Show Scavenger Hunt 2026
- RizeUp – Funding to help create safe homes and brighter futures for six Moreton Bay families rebuilding after domestic and family violence.
- Rotary Club Samford Valley Inc – Provision of seating along the Samford to Ferny Grove Rail Trail.
- Samford Area Men’s Shed Inc – Purchase of materials storage racking to improve workshop functionality and safety.
- Samford Stags – Delivery of the Samford Stags Sustainability Project through the installation of a solar battery system.
- The Carers Foundation Holdings Ltd – Support for the Wellbeing From Within Carers Community Resilience Program.
- The Nest Community – Funding for the Stitch Together program.
- The Pyjama Foundation – Recruitment of additional Pyjama Angels to support children in the Moreton Bay community.
- University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) Moreton Bay – Delivery of the Better Mornings student wellbeing initiative.
Mr Frizzell said PRCF remained committed to ensuring local banking continued to deliver local outcomes. “The success of Community Bank Samford allows us to reinvest in the projects and organisations that help our communities thrive.
