Pine Rivers Community Finance Awards Over $100,000 in Grants to Tackle Homelessness
Five frontline organisations working to address homelessness in Moreton Bay will share in more than $105,000 in community grants, following the March 2025 Tackling Homelessness Grant Round delivered by Pine Rivers Community Finance Ltd (PRCF).
In total, $105,167 in funding has been awarded to support practical, local initiatives focused on housing support, crisis services, and emergency relief.
The special-purpose grant round was launched to support organisations providing vital services in response to the growing need across the region. PRCF, which operates Community Bank Samford, launched the grant round in response to community feedback to support community organisations with a broad-based approach to addressing homelessness, food insecurity, and domestic violence.
Successful Grant Recipients:
- NorthWest Community Group – funding for repairs to a mobile BBQ trailer used in outreach programs and community engagement.
- RizeUp – support to fully furnish nine homes for families escaping domestic violence, helping them begin a new chapter with dignity.
- The Breakfast Club Redcliffe – purchase of equipment for community showers, laundry, and storage, plus assistance with internet service costs.
- The Salvation Army – funding to help establish the new Peninsula Support Hub, offering coordinated services for people experiencing homelessness.
- Vineyard Mercy Centre – support to provide emergency food packs to individuals and families facing hardship.
PRCF Chair Malcolm Frizzell said the response to the grant round highlighted the need for community support to alleviate homelessness and the depth of commitment from community groups working to address it.

Whether it’s a hot meal, a clean shower, advice and support, or a fully furnished home, this funding supports solutions that matter to our community and support our community,” Mr Frizzell said. This targeted grant round builds on PRCF’s long-standing mission to invest in local solutions to local challenges, with a focus on improving community wellbeing and resilience.
